About article:
The present study deals with the quaternary evolution of the mountainous part of Hron valley, based on an analysis of the longitudinal profile of quaternary terraces. The position of the upper pliocene river-side system of planning is likewise taken into account. In connection with the successive deepening of the valley of Hron, during Pleistocene, the origin of valley meanders is marginally examined as well.
