About article:
Urbanization is also in progress in the Hungarian society. This paper deals with the space-relevant effects of this development process grouping them around five main topics. 1 – Mobility and regional concentration of population, 2 – peculiarities of the professional switch-over, 3 – change in working and dwelling-place condition, 4 – importance of leisure time, 5 – modification of relation between ,,town — countryside“. Urbanization isn’t a process that develops spatially equally. Some regions are scenes of high population concentrations. Reduction of spatial inequalities in the field of spatial development, obtaining a gradual levelling is one of the important objectives of Hungary’s long-term regional development projects.
