Ukazovatele a metódy skúmania urbanizácie

In investigating urbanization the expression of its intensity is one of the basic problems. This contribution deals with evaluating the up-to-date indices and methods used in expressing the degree (or the rate) of urbanization. According to methodic approach the author distinguishes 3 groups of indices and methods, the closest attention being paid to the last group marked for a complex approach. The complex approach and the utilization of mathematical-statistical methods in investigating such a complicated process like urbanization seems to be inevitable.
