The contribution is focused on the research of recent forms of religious and spiritual identities in Slovakia after the revolution in 1989. The core of the sutdy is devoted to the distinction of rural (local) and urban (translocal) religious / spiritual identities. The author further pays attention to the process of "local privatization" of transcendental stories in the progress of so called local approximation (1. topographic, 2. chronological or 3. personal). The author mention also process of "local deprivatization", or local deproximation as manitupated process of locally neglected stories / narratives. The next part of the study is devoted to the translocal and transtemporal character of urban spiritual identities. Following the various forms of conversions and institutional / private forms of religiosity / spirituality she designs a new typology.
