States and idempotents of pseudo MV-algebras

We study states on pseudo MV-algebras in connection with idempotents. Such elements form a Boolean subalgebra. We present some assertions on states on the set of all idempotents of a pseudo MV-algebras satisfying general comparability. Such pseudo MV-algebras possess at least one state. In addition, some topological aspects of states are presented.
