Simone Drouin, pracovníčka parížskej Bibliothèque Nationale de France, správkyňa Fondu Copeau, ktorý obsahuje najdôležitejšiu časť pozostalosti tohto francúzskeho divadelníka, stručne rekapituluje najdôležitejšie etapy jeho života. Venuje sa hlavne otázkam jeho dramaturgie, spolupráci s francúzskymi autormi, ktorých vytrvalo uvádzal počas celého svojho tvorivého života nielen na scéne Starého holubníka (Vieux-Colombier), ale aj inde. Pozoruhodný bol aj jeho prínos pre obnovu scénografie. Autorka sa ďalej venuje princípom Copeauovej hereckej školy a napokon zaznamenáva jeho vplyv na najvýznamnejších žiakov, ktorí prevzali asketické posolstvo a významne ovplyvnili európske divadlo 20. storočia.
Simone Drouin, a worker of Bibliothèque Nationale de France in Paris, a governor of Copeau Fund which contains the most important part of the hereditaments of this French theatrician, is briefly summarising the most important phases of his life. She is focusing mainly on issues of his dramaturgy, his cooperation with French authors who were constantly being performed by him during his entire creative life not only at the scene of the Old Dovecot (Vieux-Colombier), but also elsewhere. A remarkable was also his contribution to the renewal of scenography. The author is attending also principles of the Copeau actor school, and finally is remarking his impact on the most outstanding scholars who have undertaken his ascetic message and remarkably influenced the European theatre of 20th century.
