Aktuálna problematika geografie obyvateľstva a sídel

In the contribution examples of developmental deformations of population and settlements in conditions of Slovakia during the period after 1948 are analysed and their consequences on geography of population and settlement are pointed out. Related to the new social-economic situation some topical problems from the geographical study of population and settlements are quoted, namely those being derived from changes in research object as well as from new approaches in scientific research referring to modem trends in geography.
