Vzťah sídel východoslovenského kraja k nadmorským výškam povrchu

In this contribution the author analyses the relation between the settlements to the surface heights above sea level in the East Slovakian Region (Východoslovenský kraj), which is, as to the height, the most dissected part of Slovakia. Nearly one third of the settlements and more than one third of papulation in the East Slovakian Region is bound to the height steps of 101 – 150 metres and 201 – 250 metres. This fact speaks about significant relations between the settlements and relief represented in this case by the heights above sea level.
