This study deals with the geographical distribution of potential evaporation from the soil surface on the territory of Czechoslovakia for the year and for the seasons. The average monthly sums of potential evaporation have been calculated according to the complex method elaborated by M. I. Budyko. As a fundamental material for the calculation, long-term averages of the climatic elements have been used.
