Štrukturálne premeny mestských sídel v SSR

The author examines qualitative transformations in the urbanization development in the SSR, which manifest themselves by reinforcement above all of 77 settlements of district significance and by enlargement of the area of urban influence. Also a need of more rational utilization of the territory joins it, which supports a managed and differentiated spatial formation of settlements. In particular the tasks of reconstruction of core territories and further tendencies of urbanization process development are examined.
