Results of geomorphological investigation in the area of the Zemplínske Vrchy Mountains and their close neighbourhood on the basis of a complex geomorphological analysis are given in the submitted contribution. The aim of the work is to elucidate genesis and evolution of the relief in a territory where no investigation aimed at geomorphological problems has been realized so far in a detailed scale as well as to provide data for morphostructural analysis and morphotectonics. The knowledge acquired allowed to outline a scheme of relief development of the examined horst morphostructure during the Neotectonic stage, consequent on interpretations about the West Carpathians done until now.
