The aim of the presented study is to deal with specifics of the morphostructural formation of the Silesian and Magura nappes in the area of the Western Beskydy Mts. Both the nappe units represent basic geological systems of the flysch range of the Western Beskydy Mts. with considerably diverse displays of synorogenic deformations. By means of morphometric and statistical methods some differences in the geomorphology of the nappe units were identified and at the same time zones with displays of young Quaternary tectonics were defined. Digital elevation model (DEM) made it possible to map concrete relief displays of both passive and active morphostructuFGres.
