Prof. RNDr. Mikuláš Huba, CSc.
Mikuláš Huba (24-03-54). Graduated at the Faculty of Sciences, Comenius University, Bratislava. Research of landscape potential, sustainability and carrying capacity, relations between productivity, stability and sustainability, Environmental Impact Assessment/Strategical Environmental Assessment. Environmental/sustainability indicators. Environmental geography, etc. Scientific co-ordinator of number of projects. Professor since 2006. Lectures: Comenius University Bratislava, Palacky University Olomouc. Author of more than 30 monographies, about 200 scientific studies and more than 2000 scientific-popular articles. Member of several editorial boards. Frequently quotated in Slovakia as well as in abroad (more than 1000 registered quotations). An active participant of several important international scientific events v Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Africa and Australia. Co-author and consultant in the process of preparation of the new environmental legislation in Slovakia, event. Czechoslovakia. Consutant and regional co-ordinator of the GSFI Global Security Programme University of Cambridge. One of principal authors of the National Sustainable Development Strategy SR, and the Vision of the Slovakia to the year 2015. Former MP: Chairman of the Committee for the Environment and Nature Protection of the Slovak Parliament (1990 - 1992) and Commitee for the Agriculture a Environment (2012 - 2014). Member of the Governmental Board for Sustainable Development (1999 - 2003). Member of the External Advisory Board of the Slovak President (2019 -).
