As a researcher at the Department of Interplanetary Matter, my specialization is in the field of meteor astronomy. My research focuses on meteoroids and their origins, with a particular interest in studying meteoroid streams and their relationship to parent bodies. I am intrigued by rare cases of meteoroids that have traveled tens of parsecs through the interstellar medium from a distant exoplanetary systems, and that, during their crossing of the solar system, crash into Earth appearing as meteors that we can observe. These interstellar particles can provide valuable information about their original exoplanetary systems and the materials that make up our universe. Furthermore, I am interested in philosophical questions that arise from my research in this field.
