JUDr. Katarína Zavacká, CSc.
JUDr. Katarína Zavacká, CSc. graduated from the Faculty of Law, Comenius University in Bratislava. She focuses on history of state and law in the 20. century. Her main field of study legal-historical analysis of processes of creation and dissolution of democratic legal systems. She wrote books on Political crimes before the Slovak Supreme Court from 1939 to 1944 (2013), Statutory forms of persecution and criminal law in Slovakia in the years 1938 – 1945 (2017), Political regulation of Public Access to Information in Slovakia during 1938 – 1941 (2023) and dozens of other chapters and papers. She also co-authored the first Civic education textbook published in Slovakia after 1989 and regularly contributes to popular media.
