Works as a senior researcher and head of the Department of Architecture at the Institute of History, Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava. Since 2014 she is professor at the Faculty of architecture STU in Bratislava. She is involved in research and critiques of 20th and 21st century architecture. She is editor and member of the editorial board of the scientific journal Architektúra & Urbanizmus. From the year 1997 till the year 2009 she was editor in chief of the monthly ARCH on Architecture and other Culture. She is the chair of the Slovak working party of DOCOMOMO (Documentation and Conservation of Modern Movement Architecture). She has published several monographs, tens of studies and critiques on architecture of 20th century and prepared several exhibitions on architecture. Together with Matúš Dulla she prepared the crucial monograph on Slovak architecture 20th Century Architecture in Slovakia (Slovart, 2002) and edited the first synoptic monograph on Slovak architecture Architecture in Slovakia: concise history (Slovart, 2005). For several times she was awarded with the Prize of Slovak Literary Fund and the Prize of Martin Kusý for the theoretical work in architecture.
