Curriculum vitae

Prof. JUDr. Marián Giba, PhD.

He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague. He has completed his doctoral studies in the field of Constitutional Law simultaneously at the Université Panthéon-Assas (Sorbonne) in Paris and at the Comenius University in Bratislava, where he is currently the head of the Department of Constitutional Law. He is the author and co-author of several dozen domestic and foreign scientific publications. In the scientific field, he mainly focuses on the institutional field of constitutional law, the referendum, a significant part of his scientific activity is also focused on the issues of French constitutional law. As a leading researcher and co-researcher, he is involved in scientific projects and grants. He is adviser to the President of the Republic for law and justice, and also served as adviser to the President from 2015 to 2019. In 2021, the President of the Supreme Court appointed him a member of the State Commission for Elections and Control of Political Party Financing.
