Andrej Gogora is a researcher at IESA SAS, head of the Scientific Collections Department and the Information and Documentation Department. He completed his doctoral studies in the field of systematic philosophy at the Institute of Philosophy SAS. He worked as an assistant professor at Centre of Digital Humanities Faculty of Arts Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra and as an external collaborator of the Slovak National Corpus of Ludovit Stur Institute of Linguistics SAS. He is engaged in basic research of methodological foundations of digital humanities. In applied research he is involved in building digital text and image resources in the humanities, especially digital collections of ethnological research reports. He co-authored the monograph Digital Trends in the Contemporary Humanities (2019). During the winter term of 2015/2016, he led a semester course “Digital humanities and philosophical research” at the University of Passau in the Department of Digital Humanities. He is the coordinator of IESA SAS as a cooperating partner of the European research infrastructure DARIAH-ERIC. He has participated in several international conferences with contributions in the field of digital humanities (DH Benelux 2014 in The Hague, HaPoC History and Philosophy of Computing 2015 in Pisa, WDH Workshop on Digital Humanities 2015 in Prague, Philosophy and its History - An Actual Debate 2016 in Geneva, DH Budapest 2019 in Budapest).
