Tomáš Kubisa works as a specialist staff of the Institute of Ethnology and Social Anthropology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, being the archivist and administrator of scientific collections. He completed his Master’s degree in ethnology and non-European studies at the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, followed by a rigorous exam for the PhDr degree at the Institute of Ethnology of Charles University in Prague and PhD at the Institute of Ethnology and Social Anthropology SAS. Scientifically, he focuses on contemporary occultism and new oriental religious movements in Slovakia. Within the Information and Documentation Section of the IESA SAS, he focuses on the management of scientific collections, the cataloguing of archival documents (analogue and digital), the digitisation process of scientific collections , archival research, applied archival science and digital ethnology, . He has also published several scientific studies and professional articles in the field of his professional and scientific interest.
