Dr. Garai is a researcher at the Stellar Department of Astronomical Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. His research concerns exoplanets. He is working on the reduction and analysis of multicolor photometric and spectroscopic data, processing and analysis of photometric data from space-based telescopes Kepler, TESS, and CHEOPS, light-curve modeling of disintegrating rocky exoplanets, dynamical analysis of exoplanet transits,
transmission spectroscopy analysis of exoplanet atmospheres, and phase-curve modeling of exoplanets.
