Zuzana Bártová studied Biology as her major at the university of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice, Slovakia. After graduation she continued as a PhD student in the field of Mineral biotechnologies at the Institute of Geotechnics, Slovak Academy of Sciences. She graduated in 2020 after her research in the microbial composition of the acid mine drainage in the Slovak streams and on their kinetics and growth parameters during the lab cultivation. Nowadays she still works at the Institute and her main focus is on the bioleaching processes using microorganisms, bacterial growth kinetics and raw materials acquisition from the acid mine drainage.
