Call for SAS – NSC (Taiwan) joint project grants

The Slovak Academy of Sciences in accordance with a SAS document „Principles of support of projects of international scientific and technical cooperation“ has published on April 20th, 2009 a

Call for proposals to support SAS project grants for 2010 in the framework of bilateral scientific cooperation between Slovak Academy of Sciences and National Science Council, Republic of China (Taiwan).


The Call addresses individual researchers or research teams from SAS institutes to support bilateral research grants for basic research. The supposed date of the start of the project run is January 1st, 2010.
Applicants who fulfil all requirements set in „(SAS) Principles of support of projects of international scientific and technical cooperation“ and the conditions set in Call documents, can submit project grant proposals in any of following areas:

- Information and communication technologies
- Energy
- Precision machinery including material research


The SAS project grant application has to be prepared in collabor ation with partner at NSC in Taiwan. The SAS partner is submitti ng his proposal to SAS, while the NSC partner is submitting it t o NSC on the base of analogous NSC call for proposals. The call period starts at next day to the date of call publication at the SAS web-site and terminates at June 1, 2009.
