Opening of the exhibition: The Trianon Peace Treaty of 1920, The Versailles System and Slovakia

On Thursday, June 4th 2020, at 16.45  to the minute on the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Trianon Peace Treaty  the Institute of History of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, The city of Brezová pod Bradlom, the civic association Osobnosti pod Bradlom and the Museum of Dušan S. Jurkovič prepared an opening of the panel exhibition called The Trianon Peace Treaty of 1920, The Versailles System and Slovakia. 

The opening of the exhibition will take place in Brezová pod Bradlom - the birthplace of the signatory to the Trianon Peace Treaty, a diplomat Štefan Osuský. We will recall the signing of the treaty, which became the symbol of the international recognition of the existence of Slovaks as a modern European nation. The treaty still creating the borders of our country. 

The author of the exhibition presenting the Trianon Peace Treaty on 13 panels and the circumstances of its creation is Matej Hanula, the design was created by Dorota Budziňáková. The exhibition originated thanks to the support of the Government of the Slovak Republic within the Year of Milan Rastislav Štefánik.

          in Brezová pod Bradlom. 

16.45 The opening of the exhibition, the Hall of Štefánik´s National House 

          - the speech of Jaroslav Ciran, the mayor of the city Brezová pod Bradlom

          - the presentation of the exhibition by its author Matej Hanula of the Institute of History

           of the Slovak Academy of Sciences

The viewing of the exhibition in the premises of the Museum of Dušan S. Jurkovič in the Štefánik´s  National House.
