The summer school aims to support researchers at the outset of their careers, promote mobility, and facilitate the acquisition of knowledge, experiences, and valuable contacts. Additionally, the goal is to showcase our region and the local topics of focus. Invited lectures at the summer school will be given by Jozef Bavoľár (Department of Psychology, University Pavol Jozef Šafarik), who will discuss the Social Factors of Risk Perception, and Pavol Kačmár (Department of Psychology, University Pavol Jozef Šafarik), who will lead an interactive keynote on “An Unexpected Journey of a Young Researcher”. Ivan Ropovik (University of Presov) will provide a keynote on the topic of A Unified Framework for Statistical Modeling with SEM.

Our colleagues from the Institute of Social Sciences of the Centre of Social and Psychological Sciences SAS focus their lectures on these topics: Denisa Fedáková and Michal Kentoš will present the background of the European Social Survey, while Marcel Martončik and Matúš Adamkovič will lead a methodological seminar on responsible research practices and principles of open science. These two seminars will be streamed online and are open to everyone, not just participants of the EASP summer school.

The upcoming summer school, scheduled to take place on July 8 – 19 2024 in Košice promises an exciting convergence of knowledge, collaboration, and inspiration. With dynamic workshops, enlightening lectures, and meaningful discussions on the horizon, participants can look forward to an enriching experience that will ignite their passion for social psychology.
