Invitation to the all-academic doctoral seminar
The Slovak Academy of Sciences invites you to the first of all-academic doctoral seminars, which will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 9:00 A.M. at the SAS great hall at Patrónka in Bratislava. The event was prepared by members of the Presidium of SAS - prof. RNDr. Ľubica Lacinová, DrSc., Ing. Ivana Budinská, PhD., MUDr. Mgr. Tomáš Hromádka, PhD., and Mgr. Róbert Karul, PhD. - with the aim of improving the quality of doctoral studies. Doctoral students will thus get the opportunity to get to know each other across science departments and identify themselves with the SAS. The seminars will introduce the best doctoral students who have something to say to other students and scientists and one representative of young scientists who can be an example of the successful development of a scientific career after completing doctoral studies.
Seminar programme
1. Mgr. Lucia Balážová, PhD from the Institute of Experimental Endocrinology of the Biomedical Research Center SAS will introduce her success story of a young scientist and a mother.
2. Oleksandra Ivanova: Rapid color variations in active Centaur 29P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 1 as a key of its dust microphysical properties. Astronomical Institute SAS
