Medical expert system have the purpose of supporting the diagnosis work of physicians. Most medical expert systems consider facts and symptoms to provide a diagnosis. There is an obvious necessity for the representation of time in medical diagnoses. This paper introduces various ways of incorporation of time in the inference mechanism within the formalism of fuzzy logic.
