About article:
Until now the Slovak literary, language and historical sciences have circumvented the manuscript and printed paraliturgical song production of the Byzantine-Slavonic rite in Eastern Slovakia. Nowadays, the Department of Slavonic Studies of the Slovak Academy of Sciences guarantees many scientific-research grant projects which also deal with questions of Slovak-Ruthenian-Ukrainian contacts. This questions are being handled on the basis of the connections in the period of Pre-Revival and Revival activities. The scientific-research project named The Spiritual Song in the Cyrillic Manuscripts from Eastern Slovakia will follow up this tasks from year 2000 on. The consistent interpretation of literary-historical and language problems will certainly help to clarify the place of this literary production in the history of the old Slovak literature where this production well belongs.
