About article:
The volcanic complex of the northern part of the Kremnician Mountains bears remnants of an old levelled relief in various heights above sea level. The most probable period when the relatively extensive levelled surface was formed is a period of the Lower Pliocene – the Pannonian. To the processes of levelling it came under subtropical humid climate. The recent height differentiation of the surface of levelling is a reflection of effects of the intra-Pliocene Rhodanian phase.
