About article:
Geographical problems in regional planning are extremely vast. They are connected, above all, with spatial structures which have been studied by economic geography and are often changed by regional planning. As far as Warsaw metropolitan region is concerned, geographers and planners have established the existence of several subregions with very different level of economic development. Thus, the fundamental assumptions of this regional plan are the deglomeration of the Warsaw subregion and, at the same time, economic activation of the other subregions, particularly the eastern ones.
