Súčasné výhľadové úlohy nasej geografie

The author deals with a weak position of geography with the hierarchization of Sciences. Causes of this fact are quoted and ways to make better this position are searched by him. Especially the need to concentrate upon the socially most important tasks, namely the problems of living environment and of rational utilization of landscape (geosphere) is underlined. The solution of these problems is to be led up to a level usable in practice, namely by means of modem exact faucitis of science. It is necessary to afford to society also a systematic and effective information about modem geography by means of mass information media as well as to take organizational measures necessary in the field of education, internal advance of geography and at the same time for its applying.
