About article:
Climate, as a component of landscape in the system of landscape complex, was differentiated into spatial units, by analysing the factors and conditions forming the climate and according to the occurrence of soil-bioclimatic components of the landscape. The factor „radiation and air masses“ manifests itself in the circulation of air, the condition „ocean-continent “ in the oceanity or continentality of climate, and the condition „relief“ in the climate of lowlands, mountain plateaus and mountain slopes. The territory of Czechoslovakia is divided in the oceanic climatic macroregion of the Czech massif and the Continental macroregion of Czechoslovak Carpathians. These districts are divided, according to the relief, into the climate of lowlands, intramountain hollows, mountain plateaus and slopes, and they exhibit individual orographical regions. Each region has a specific spectrum of climatic areas spatially complying with the zonality of bioclimatic soil types.
