Recetlné vertikálne pohyby zemskej kôry vo vzťahu k zemetraseniam a seizmoaktívnym zlomom v Západných Karpatoch

In the contribution, the authors give an analysis of the occurrence of earthquakes in the West Carpathians in relation to the seismotectonic faults and recent vertical movements. Consequent to the analysis the epicentres occur in the Crossing or in proximity to the Crossing of sub- surface or crust faults. They are concentrated in the border parts of blocks, which represent, at the same time, also a turn in the intensity of recent vertical movements and heat flows. In most part of the territory, the earthquake effects are bound with the feet of morphostructures and river valleys. In this way, their tectonic predisposition and recent mobility is emphasized.
