About article:
In the flysh zone of the eastern part of Western Carpathians, on Czechoslovak territory, 140 wells of mineral waters have been registered. These are mostly carbonaceous, sulphuric ones and, to a smaller extent, carbonaceous-sulphuric wells. To the latter ones belong also the baths known as the Spa of Bardejov. In this territory, we also find the medical mineral waters ot Cígefka which, by their chemism, pertain into the group of cold acidulous alcalic salt iodic-bromic waters. Regionalization of the mineral waters in this territory is very difficult, in view of the great variability of the various geochemical properties of these waters, and of the terri-tory’s manifold geomorphological-geological structure.
