The function of the greenery in the settlements of man lies in producing oxygen, in cleaning air from dust and morbific particles, in psycho-hygienic acting upon man and in the possibility of recreation. The main types of greenery in our settlements are old parks and public gardens, the greenery of new residential districts, sport playgrounds, old cemetries, alleys of trees along Communications, little gardens by houses, the sites of ruderal vegetation and the forest hinterland of settlements.
