Opposite to the other parts of the island eastern part of Cuba has a different landscape character as well as a richer variety of landscape types. The relief, its dissection and the course of main ridges have strongly influenced the climatic differentiation of the territory, the development of river network, the thickness of soli cover as well as the pattern of vegetation communities. On a small space the character of landscape types changes quickly and they can be sharp delimitated. In the work we are delimiting 6 main types and 8 subtypes of the landscape.
