Spory o pozitivizmus v súčasnej západnej geografii

The purpose of the paper is to give a brief selective overview on contemporary philosophico-methodological disputes aimed at the problem of the positivism in western geography. It contains a brief characterization of the positivism, its critique and some alternatives to it (hermeneutics, phenomenology and realism). In the conclusion it is stated that the best chances to exchange the positivism in geography has realism which sometimes occurs also under the name of Marxism.
