For the first time are presented phytocoenological relevés of the association Adenostylo alliariae-Athyrietum alpestris from the Krivánska Fatra Mts. Its stands occur mainly on untoughtened quartzitic boulder screes within or on the edge of dwarfpine stands. The dominating feature is Alpine lady-fern (Athyrium distentifolium), acompanied with another hygrophilous and chionophilous species of the tall-herb communities
