The article presents a short phytosociological study on psammophilous oak forest vegetation of Záhorská nížina Lowland, Slovakia. Local oak forest type has been identified with the association Carici fritschii-Quercetum roboris Chytrý et Horák 1997, described from the nearby Dúbrava forest near Hodonín, the Czech Republic. Three variants have been discerned within the association. Eco-logical and phytogeographical aspects are briefly discussed
