Annotation
Polymers bearing permanent positive or negative charge represent basic building blocks for material and biomaterials employing in different (bio)applications. The aim of proposed topic is utilization of non-ionic and cationic poly(2-oxazolines) for the preparation of biocompatible and non-toxic organofillers based on layered silicates, e.g. montmorillonites. The main advantage of this type of poly(2-oxazolines) is their excellent biocompatibility and low cytotoxicity in the connection with the possibility of their transformation to cationic polymers using controlled hydrolysis. During PhD. study attention will be focused on the preparation of cationic poly(2-oxazolines) with different charge density and various hydrophobic substituents. Prepared organosilicates will be used for specific adsorption of model organophosphates as potent pesticides and potential chemical warwares.
