Annotation
Hydrogen is a key priority of the European strategy for clean energy, and metallic materials represent the basic pillar of expected technical solutions and innovations in its production, storage, distribution and final use. The PhD thesis will be focused on research of high-strength formed complex concentrated alloys (CCAs) and their resistance to hydrogen embrittlement (HE). The PhD student will participate in forming, heat treatment, hydrogenation and characterizing the properties of new CCAs based on CoCrFeNi with additions of Al, Ti, Ta and Nb. He/she will investigate the deformation behavior of precipitation-strengthened CCAs during cold and hot forming, tensile and compressive tests and their resistance to hydrogen embrittlement. Using analytical and numerical modeling and the ANSYS program, he/she will simulate the processes of forming and deformation behavior during mechanical testing. The validity and accuracy of numerical calculations will be verified by experimental data from mechanical tests and simulation deformation experiments. The obtained experimental-numerical results will be used to optimize the chemical composition, microstructure and processing parameters of new CCAs, which are developed for demanding hydrogen applications.
