The dissertation will be solved within the framework of the SRDA project CAMBIOREG, namely mechanosynthesis or combined mechano-thermal synthesis of biocompatible porous materials, such as:
(i) calcium phosphates – hydroxyapatite (Ca₁₀(PO₄)₆(OH)₂), tricalcium phosphate (Ca₃(PO₄)₂),
(ii) calcium silicates – diopside (CaMgSi₂O₆), akermanite (Ca₂MgSi₂O₇).
Eggshell or biocalcite will be used as a source of calcium, among others. The prepared materials will be tested in vitro and in vivo: The biocompatibility of the prepared bioceramics will be tested in collaboration with the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice using in vitro (using stem cells) and in vivo methods (e.g. an alternative model of the bird embryo).
