Annotation
In mammals, the successful fusion of gametes is a prerequisite for the formation of an embryo and a new individual. These events are preceded by a series of processes including the development, morphological and functional maturation of gametes in the environment of the male, or the female reproductive system and subsequently their mutual interaction in the fertilization process. Although these processes show certain common features in mammals, some mechanisms, as well as the expression of proteins at the gamete and tissue level, are different in individual animal species. The dissertation will aim to study the proteins involved in the maturation of gametes, or fertilization using cattle as a model organism, by immunohistochemical and biochemical methods, or molecular biology methods.
