Annotation
The project aims to monitor the impact of a high-calorie diet on inflammatory processes leading to the development of neurodegenerative changes in the brain. Some metabolic products are involved in activating signaling pathways of the innate immune response, which represents an unexplored aspect in Alzheimer's disease research. Utilizing humanized models for Alzheimer's dementia, we will observe the influence of selected metabolic pathways on the spread of neurodegeneration in the brains of experimental animals. The results may offer a new perspective on the influence of an inappropriate diet on the development of neurodegeneration and define the significance of a specific inflammatory response that could accelerate the progression of dementia.
