Atom transfer radical polymerization ATRP is robust system for the preparation of well-defined polymers and copolymers. Heterogeneous aqueous polymerization media has attracted much attention in last years, because represents effective method for the formation of products with zero-volatile organic content. Therefore, they are considered environmentally benign. Polymeric particles will be prepared by photoinduced ATRP, candidate can utilize extensive knowledge of Polymer Institute in this area. Focus will be placed on common acrylates and methacrylates, moreover monomers from bio-renewable resources will be studied as well. The thesis proposal will cover a wide spectrum of aqueous dispersed media: including suspension, dispersion and miniemulsion photoinduced polymerization.
