Annotation
The objective of the dissertation is to comprehend the social, economic, cultural, and symbolic capital of the Erdődy family as represented in the 17th century sources. Representation is viewed as a communication phenomenon, allowing for the reconstruction of historical negotiations. The dissertation will investigate social and political representation by examining selected members of the family through their personal correspondence, wills, and existing accounts.
