Annotation
The dissertation focuses on examining religious and spiritual factors that influence the formation and maintenance of conspiratorial beliefs. The research builds on insights from the psychology of religion, assuming that religiosity and spirituality can have dual effects — serving as sources of trust and reducing conspiratorial beliefs, but also acting as catalysts for suspicion and closed-mindedness toward other groups. The aim of the work is to identify specific dimensions of religiosity and spirituality that either promote or reduce the inclination toward conspiratorial beliefs.
