Annotation
The dissertation thesis follows the application of contemporary trends in the world of aerodynamics for research in civil engineering. The doctoral student will conduct experimental research on the dynamic response of structures in a wind tunnel at the USTARCH SAS in Bratislava. He applies new knowledge to the investigation of the behavior of buildings’ structural parts or small-scale models under the wind loading regime. This work is motivated by the current demand for applied research from engineering practice. The main target of the work is the description of local structural stress phenomena in interaction with dynamic wind load. Results from experimental models will be compared with FEM models. The scientific contribution of the dissertation is focused on the correlations between numerical and experimental models in the field of environment-construction interaction under dynamic wind load. Another important challenge of work is the application of new knowledge and research of dynamic phenomena in wind tunnels in construction practice.
