Annotation
Well-defined amphiphilic block copolymers containing elastic block will be synthesized for improved mechanical properties of final solid materials. In addition to pure polymeric materials, composites possessing photoactuation, magneto- or electro-responsive properties will be synthesized as well. For these purposes surface modification of fillers will be performed. For synthesis of amphiphilic block copolymers as well as surface modification controlled radical and anionic ring-opening polymerization techniques will be applied. Effect of copolymers composition on morphology, mechanical and stimuli-responsive properties of the material will be thoroughly investigated. The final materials will be potentially applicable as drug delivery solid systems, artificial muscles, sensing devices, nanoreactors or in civil engineering applications.
