Structural and biophysical characterization of antibodies against epitopes of intrinsically disordered protein tau

Monoclonal antibodies can be used in diagnostics and therapy as well as in structural biology for to study their interactios partners (X-ray crystallography and cryo electron microscopy). Therefore, their detailed characterization is of upmost importance, in this particular case characterization of antibodies against intrinsically disordered protein tau. The aimof the project will be to characterize promising antibodies by biophysical methods (SPR, ITC, DSC) and by methods of structural biology (X-ray crystallography and biomolecular NMR).
