The impact of the state border on the regions in its vicinity varies depending on the nature of the border. The nature of the border can be completely closed and on the other hand completely open. Borders tend to be a barrier to development as well as a factor positively influencing the development of the region. In the last period, the borders acquire several new meanings, one of which is the understanding of the border as a source of potential development of the area in its vicinity. The aim of the dissertation theses is to point out the influence of the state border on the development of tourism in selected regions.
